Dolgit gel 50 mg/g tube 50 g

• active substance: ibuprofen;
• 1 g of gel contains ibuprofen 50 mg;
• excipients: 2-propanol, solketal, poloxamer, medium-chain triglycerides, lavender oil, neroli oil, purified water.

Dolgit gel is contraindicated:

• with increased individual sensitivity to the active substance ibuprofen, benzyl alcohol, benzyl benzoate, citral, citronellol, coumarin, eugenol, farnesol, geraniol, limonene/d-limonene, linalool, to any of the auxiliary substances of the medicinal product or to other analgesics and antirheumatic agents (nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs);
• for use on open wounds, for inflammatory and infectious skin diseases, such as eczema, as well as for use on mucous membranes;
• for use under an occlusive bandage;
• in the last trimester of pregnancy.

When using the drug “Dolgit ^®  gel” on large areas of the skin and for a long time, side reactions that affect certain organs or the body as a whole and are possible with systemic use of drugs containing ibuprofen cannot be excluded.

Benzyl alcohol, benzyl benzoate, citral, citronellol, coumarin, eugenol, farnesol, geraniol, limonene/d-limonene, linalool can cause allergic reactions.

For external use only. Use the medicine 3-4 times a day.

Depending on the size of the affected area, apply the gel in a thin layer on the skin in the area of ​​inflammation/pain in strips 4–10 cm long (corresponding to 2–5 g of gel or 100–250 mg of ibuprofen), followed by light rubbing until complete absorption. The maximum daily dose is 20 g of gel (corresponding to 1,000 mg of ibuprofen).

The duration of treatment is determined by the doctor. In most cases, the treatment period is 1–2 weeks. There are no data on the therapeutic benefit of using the drug for a longer period of time.

Do not use under an occlusive dressing.

Penetration of the active component can be enhanced using iontophoresis (a special form of electrotherapy). In this case, apply the drug under the cathode (negative electrode), current intensity 0.1–0.5 mA per 5 cm ²  of the electrode surface, duration of the procedure – up to 10 minutes.

Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding

There are insufficient data to assess the safety of ibuprofen use during pregnancy.

The use of the drug in the I-II trimesters of pregnancy is possible only after a careful study of the benefit/risk ratio. The maximum daily dose is 15 g of gel.

The drug is contraindicated in the last trimester of pregnancy.

Breastfeeding women should not apply this medicine to the breast area to avoid getting this medicine into the baby’s body.

Children

Do not use in children under 14 years of age.

The ability to influence the speed of reaction when driving vehicles or other mechanisms

The drug does not affect the ability to drive vehicles and work with potentially dangerous mechanisms.

In case of applying more gel than recommended, it is necessary to remove the remaining gel and wash the skin with water. When using a very large amount or accidentally taking the gel internally, you must inform the doctor. The specific antidote is unknown.

When using the drug externally according to the recommendations, interaction with other medicinal products was not observed.

It is necessary to inform the doctor about the simultaneous treatment with other drugs, if this happens, or about the recently conducted therapy.

Store in the original packaging at a temperature not higher than 25 °C.
