Enterosgel is an enterosorbent used as part of complex detoxification therapy for chronic renal failure; with toxic hepatitis, viral hepatitis A, B, liver cirrhosis and cholestasis of various etiologies; with enterocolitis, colitis, diarrhea, gastritis with reduced acidity, with alcohol and drug poisoning; with allergic and skin diseases (diatheses, neurodermatitis); with burn intoxication; purulent-septic and inflammatory processes accompanied by intoxication; toxicoses of pregnant women in the first half of pregnancy, in complex therapy of intestinal dysbacteriosis.
Composition
- active substance: 100 g of paste contains 70 g of methylsilicic acid hydrogel;
- excipients: purified water.
Contraindication
Acute intestinal obstruction.
Adverse reactions
When taking the drug, dyspeptic phenomena are possible. In the first days of taking the drug, constipation may develop. To prevent it in people prone to constipation, in the first two days of taking the drug, a cleansing enema at night or the use of laxatives (lactulose, sodium picosulfate) is recommended.
Method of application
Apply internally 3 times a day 1.5-2 hours before or 2 hours after meals or taking medications, drinking a sufficient amount of water.
For adults and children over 14 years of age, a single dose of the drug is 15 g (a tablespoon), a daily dose is 45 g.
For children from birth to 5 years: a single dose of the drug is 5 g (teaspoon), daily – 15 g; from 5 to 14 years: single dose – 10 g (dessert spoon), daily dose – 30 g.
The course of treatment is from 7 to 14 days.
With severe forms of the disease, a double single dose can be used for the first three days, and with a chronic course of the disease (chronic renal failure), a longer (up to 1 month) use of the drug is possible.
Features of application
Provided that the method of application is observed (Enterosgel and medicinal products are taken at an interval of 1.5-2 hours), the drug can be used in complex therapy with other medicinal and prophylactic agents, including prebiotics and probiotics (bifidum, lactobacilli), phytopreparations, adaptogens, immunomodulators.
Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding
The drug can be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Use should be limited to pregnant women who are prone to constipation.
Children
The drug can be used for children from birth. For children under 2 years of age, a single dose of the drug can be mixed with a small amount of water before use.
The ability to influence the speed of reaction when driving vehicles or other mechanisms

Overdose
Cases of overdose have not been described. In case of overdose, side effects may increase.
Interaction with other medicinal products and other types of interactions
The drug can reduce the effect of other drugs that are used together with it. Simultaneous use with drugs belonging to the class of bile acid sequestrants, such as cholestyramine, is not recommended due to the increased likelihood of constipation.
The drug should not be used together with silver drugs.
Storage conditions
Store at a temperature of no more than 25 °C, do not allow freezing. After freezing, it loses its properties. After opening the package, store in the same conditions in a tightly closed container.
Keep out of the reach of children.
